by Ben Guest Visit Date:August 5, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "On arriving at Bay View we were told that there had been a booking error and that the first of our 4 nights was not booked. This was explained as an error from the booking company and so this review is written taking that at face value. The manager arranged for accomodation at a resort 200m down the beach for our first night - which was a perfectly decent place; an upgrade for one of our bungalows...and also gave us a free meal with drinks that evening as an apology. On that basis we were pretty satisfied that we d been well looked after and not too unhappy at the mix up. As for Bay View...a great place. The food from the restaurant was great from the Thai to the Western dishes, we never had a meal that wasn t fully enjoyed. The bungalows were big with beautiful views of the bay, and were cleaned every day. Reasonable min-bar prices were cheaper than local rip-off mini-markets. Nice pool with bar, (most drinks had to be fetched from the main restaurant and we felt too guilty to ask). Location of Bay View is perfect. We couldn;t hear any of the late night noise form the bars, but were within 5-10 minutes walk of the action with views to die for. Overall...visit here - very much worthwhile." |

The room was cleaned and sheets and towels changed every day, and the cleaners were lovely. Would definately recommend Bay View, but there are a couple of things to consider before booking. The villas are situated on a very steep hillside and the walk back at night was hard work! Also, it is situated right at the end of the beach and might seem a bit out of the way, but overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and Phiphi... is amazing!So beautiful. The best part of our trip to Thailand." |

The hotel does not provide tooth brush and tooth paste. I certainly do not recommend this hotel to anyone." |

Location is at the end of the main bay and easy to walk into the main part of the island with the shops / restaurants. Pick up service by longtail boat from the pier. Beach is ok, but can recommend Long Beach a 15min stroll through the forest." |

Its outdated, overpriced there is a lot of work to be done to get this resort on tody s values. I booked the best bungalow there was and three!!! times the reception tried to give us a cheaper bungalow. we really got angry and at last we got a normal bungalow. We wont go there anymore also because of all the beat and the noise from the village." |
Very disappointed that they recommend this hotel and don t mention there is a night club next to the bungalows. We called the day before our arrival to pick us up at the pier and they forgot. We waited over an hour on the pier with a 2 years old child. They didn t even apologize about it.We spent three nights and we couldn t sleep until 2.am every night due to a night club on the beach. The management couldn t care less and didn t even tried to stop the music. It is not mentioned on their site that music is going on until 2.am every night. I strongly not recommend this hotel, it is terrible." |
