by BYVALTSEV ANDREY Visit Date:February 27, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The staff is rather shy. They should be trained to be more sociable.Only one remark:VERY OFTEN THERE IS NO STAFF IN THE SWIMMING POOL AREA. TAKE MEASURES!The gym is also very badly equipped." |
by Anna Olsson Visit Date:February 4, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Rawi Warin is a very nice place. Lovely swimmingpools with a fun slide for children! The beach is nice but has stones. There are not too many places to eat at outside the resort, you must then take a tuk tuk or taxi. We stayed for 4 days which was good and after that we stayed at Klong dao beach which was better for us. Very clean and nice though at Rawi Warin." |

by Dr S Quance Visit Date:September 18, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Resort very quiet which was what we wanted. It did mean that Pool Bar and Sports Bar were closed and limited selection for breakfast. Staff were fantastic as usual." |
Efficient as always., January 19, 2009 by Alexandra Walker Visit Date:January 10, 2009 "I stayed here from 4 - 10 January 2009 with my husband and two small children ages 2 and 4 years. We loved this place - just paradise. Good for kids with a creche, babysitting service and kids pool. Breakfast was good, room was great - we had a pool view cottage on lower level and couldn t fault it. The service was wonderful and the beach was beautiful with easy access to beach restaurants and a great beach massage venue. The prices in the hotel can be expensive due to taxes and service charges, but hey you re on holiday! The staff were lovely and acommodating and the manager was on hand to receive comments. Definitely recommend this resort 100%. Koh Lanta is also a wonderful Island." |

Everything to do with the booking service of Sawasdee.com was fantastic, we didnt have any problems at all and would highly recommend them to anyone and we will definitely use them on our next trip to Thailand., May 8, 2008 by Evan Cobcroft Visit Date:April 20, 2008 "Fantastic Hotel, everything about the hotel was great. There were local restaurants within walking distance if you didnt want to dine inhouse that were delightful. This was necessary for us as there was only one restaurant open as it was at the end of the season.Outside the resort there was always a tuk-tuk to take you to anywhere on the island, the prices for them were much cheaper then other holiday areas in Thailand, so it doesnt matter that you are out of the main part of town. The pools in the resort were great, our children loved the cinema and kids club. The pontoon was dismantled as the surf was getting a bit rough but with the pools being so beautiful, it didnt matter at all, it is still possible to swim in the ocean just walk up the beach a little. We will definiitely go back to Koh Lanta and I cant think of anything that would stop us in staying at the Rawi Warin again." |
Excellent - All very smooth sailing and would definitely use again!!, April 29, 2008 by Tania Cipriani Visit Date:April 15, 2008 "The Langham is a very beautiful resort with extensive manicured grounds and several fabulous pools. It is a very large resort however and this can make you lose touch with where you are. Food and drink was much more expensive than any of the other resorts we had stayed at during our time in Thailand but it was easy enough to eat elsewhere. For such a large resort it did lack a number of services that I would have expected to be complementary such as a courtesy bus or free internet. The breakfasts however were fantastic and overall for the price we paid (aprox 130 AUD) it was exceptional value. If you plan to spoil yourself in opulent surrounds with plenty of R&R then this is the place for you but if you want to get a true feel for what Koh Lanta has to offer then I would probably recommend somewhere a little closer to Ban Sala Dan." |
Excellent!, April 21, 2008 by Jutamas Arampongpun Visit Date:April 11, 2008 "The room of this resort @ Kho Lanta, Krabi is reasonably price. We stayed there for 5 nights and still enjoyed it s breakfast. Our special request for non-pork food was met. A bit of warning though on the hotel dinner buffer -- it was highly overpriced & they even charged you extra for a glass of water!!!The hotel beach is rocky, so you can t swim in the sea, but the swimming pool is quite nice. All in all it s worthwhile being there, considering the long 3 hours trip from Krabi airport to the hotel." |
Simple and efficient., April 29, 2008 by Dale Justin Balkin Visit Date:March 27, 2008 "This place is paradise! The hotel was magnificent. It s in a beautiful setting and the staff were very friendly. Looking forward to visiting there again soon. Will reccommend it to all our friends." |
Great service., April 16, 2008 by R A W ROBERTS South Africa Visit Date:March 23, 2008 "A STUNNING RESORT. Very well kept anda comfortable llagoon facing room. Staff very freindly and helpfull. The resturant did not live up to the same standard as the resort, limited menu. Please leave yourself plenty of time if you are Flying out of Krabie as there are two car Ferries that you have to get across to get to Krabie and these are very slow with a build up of traffic at peak times, and at low tide we got stuck. Koh Lanta needs a road bridge to make acess easier, however still a wonderful place and a great resort!!!!!" |
March 28, 2008 by Jacob van der Drift Visit Date:March 21, 2008 "Hotel exceeded our expectations; great place to relax; excellent service; adjacent bakery serves great lunch; rooms spacious with very comfortable beds; shower pressure could be better.the sea-pool, separate music room and mini theater are unique features which we certainly did not expect. We will be back." |
Excellent as always, February 22, 2008 by Flemming Hansen Visit Date:February 9, 2008 "This resort has nothing to do with a 5 star resort. In internationally terms it is maximum 3 star. This resort has no controle of the logistics, wheter it concerns the check-in, the food and beverage, cleaning of the rooms and the sorrounding areas. We had booked 2 rooms, which should have been ready from 12AM. 2AM we had the first room, were told to come back 4 times during tha afternoon and evening, and the room was still not ready. Then they figured out that the guests in the room, first should check out the day after. Finally we got another room for the night, but first after been threatening that we would move to another hotel, and demand our money back. Not a single excuse from anyone. The breakfast buffet is ok if You come before 0830 otherwise it is totally chaos, the tables are not cleaned, no glasses, no one is attending You to ask for coffee etc. At the pool restaurant it is no better. You can sit for 10 min at a table and no one is servicing You, they look at you but they do not attend You. Twice we experienced that we never received a dish, but it was off course on the bill. The staff have not been trained thoroughly. Example, they never pick anything up from the ground when they pass it, it could be trash, dropped items, towels etc. The grass around the pool was filled with stones, trash, cigaretbutts, empty glasses from the day before and even pieces of glass from a broken drinkingglass. In the ground area there was an empty shop, it looked terrible with broken floor and empty walls. Why not cover the windows, with at nice picture? The cleaning of the rooms were not good, the blinds in the bathroom were covered with a thick layer of dust, and the bathtub, were not cleaned for days. This hotels is properly a god charterhotel, because it is filled with Swedish and Norwegian childfamilies. It was very much like being at Mallorca.I could recommend the management of the Langham Group did visit this resort, and saw what was going one. " |
very good booking service., February 19, 2008 by Prashant Kumar Visit Date:January 22, 2008 "beautiful hotel, excellent location, close to other restaurants & shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon . We believe a little more care for honeymoon couples would add more emotional touch to the hotel..as there were few honeymoon couples in the hotel. Nevertheless we had a great time and enjoyed every minute of Rai waren." |
Very good and hassle free. Will use it again, March 3, 2008 by Prashant Kumar Visit Date:January 22, 2008 "The Hotel is very good, with all the fecalities of a good 5*. Both the swimming pools and the furnishings in the rooms are top-notch. We had a seaview deluxe room and I would recommend this place to anyone to stay. The views from our room was beautiful. Besides the hotel, the whole koh lanta island is very pretty, quiet and tourist friendly. This hotel is about 2-3 hours from the airport and about 12 kms from the main towm (saladan). I would recommend a scooter from right opposite the hotel as the best means of transport and the tuk-tuk s are generally pricey. Overall its a good place to stay for someone needing a quiet relaxing experience. There are some good bars and some excellent eatries but not as populated and noisy as in phuket and phiphi.
